More Uncertainty For Afflecks

I was disappointed to read that today’s Manchester Evening News is reporting that the future of Afflecks Palace Shopping Centre in Manchester remains uncertain.

Afflecks is a landmark building in Manchester and I still enjoy popping in there every so often. It is a real goldmine and it would be a real travesty if the centre closes down, especially if it gets replaced by another soulless development.

Salford Garden Party

On Saturday the Civic Centre in Swinton is hosting a “Garden Party”. I’ve not been consulted on the day’s events but it looks like a sort of outdoors local democracy day - worth popping along.
