I was disappointed to read that today’s Manchester Evening News is reporting that the future of Afflecks Palace Shopping Centre in Manchester remains uncertain.
Afflecks is a landmark building in Manchester and I still enjoy popping in there every so often. It is a real goldmine and it would be a real travesty if the centre closes down, especially if it gets replaced by another soulless development.
That’s profit orientated landlords and Tory-style planning laws. What is the conservative solution to this issue?
