I thought that Council Leader Cllr John Merry would be the first Salford leader to come under pressure from his Council Group, but instead it is Cllr Norman Owen, the Liberal Democrat Group Leader, who according to today’s MEN is facing a challenge to his leadership. I look on with interest…

Well Norman won 6 votes to 4 i suppose he will be in the advertiser
next week ofering the story of strength and party backing. Well i suppose it makes better reading than grims fairy stories.
Joe
Dont suppose you know of a place of refuge for a couple of rebels.
Looks like the O’Neils are closet Tories I will never vote for them again.
Hi ken it will be a cold day in hell befire i become a tory. Do you honestly think the tories or the labour party would let us join there ranks. I spent most of my younger days going through the thatcher period and it was not pleasent. With us you get what you see and i don’t think your looking close enough.
Well Ian its seems Im discredited by association. I might have to think about what I write on your blog mis-interpretation can spread wild rumours. Just to clarify to Ken I am a Liberal Democrat who is not tied to national party lines but to the will of the people who elected me. I know the events of the last week have all the hall marks of Punch and Judy politics but all I can say is hate the game dont hate the players. I was wondering if you think Cllr Antrobus will join the Cllr Martin O’Neill fan club I hear he has taken an interest in my work, I’d be happy to show him round the ward and the work I have done.
