New Manchester Conservative Blogger

I was delighted to find out today that there is another new face joining the swelling ranks of Conservative bloggers in Greater Manchester. Will Palmer, the Chairman of University of Manchester Conservative Future, has launched a new UMCF blog. Welcome to the blogosphere Will!

A Warm Welcome In Swinton and Irlam

Today has been bitterly cold, but myself and other Conservative campaigners received a very warm welcome from local residents in Swinton this morning and in Irlam this afternoon.

It’s been great once again to get out and talk to local residents about the effect that the congestion charge will have on their lives. Once again we’ve had a very positive response and collected hundreds of names for our petition.

Ballot papers will be posted out next week and residents have until the 11th December to return them. If the residents we talked to today are representative, there will be a resounding “no” vote to the congestion charge tax.
