The deadline for voting in the Congestion Charge Referendum is tomorrow (Thursday) at 10pm. If you haven’t yet voted, you can either post your ballot today and hope that the Royal Mail has an efficient day, or alternatively you can hand in your ballot tomorrow between 7am and 10pm at one of the libraries in Walkden, Irlam, Eccles, Broadwalk and Broughton.
I’ve already voted (no, of course) but if I still had hold of my ballot paper I would probably hand it in tomorrow which removes the risk of it not getting there on time.
I wonder how many ballots will be ruled out of order for arriving after the deadline? Quite a few I suspect, and the high level of mail at this time of the year will only make things worse.
