Just a quick reminder that the Friends of Walkden Station AGM is this coming Wednesday (4th March). The meeting will be held at Walkden Royal British Legion on Wilfred Road and the fun and games start at 7pm.
I’ve worked closely with FOWS since they started 2 years ago, and they have done a fabulous job of promoting the station and standing up for passengers and local residents. Please do come along and support them.
Station adopters are volunteers and provide a vital service to the local community. I hope to be able to meet the groups at Irlam and Eccles stations in the near future.
