Barbara Keeley is distributing another glossy piece of literature throughout the Worsley constituency – and as usual it is being paid for not by herself or the local Labour Party but by the taxpayer.
Her latest “Constituency News” is printed in red and is full of highly political issues. It is a Labour leaflet in all but name, and yet you the hard-working taxpayer is paying for it. It is morally abhorrent and our Labour MPs have a nerve to produce this stuff when public confidence in politics and in politicians is at an all-time low.
If elected as the next MP for Worsley and Eccles South, I will not be using the unjustifiable Communications Allowance, which allows sitting MPs £10000 per annum to spend promoting themselves and trying to get themselves re-elected.
All my literature is paid-for by local Conservatives, not the trade-unions or the taxpayer.

We Don’t Need More Spin, Hazel
I woke up this morning to find out that Hazel Blears had become a bit of a critic of the Government.
The idea that Hazel is anything other than an ultra-loyalist is a little bit silly, but once I’d picked my jaw up off the floor and had a look at what she actually said, I quickly realised that she wasn’t really saying anything out of turn at all. In fact, her comments are merely a reflection of how badly out-of-touch this Labour Government has become.
Hazel doesn’t think the Government are doing anything wrong. She is unconcerned by the appalling financial situation we find ourselves in. Labour’s troubles are, it seems, entirely down to a “failure to communicate”.
So what she is saying is “as you are, but with an extra dollop of spin and a side-serving media management”. This country doesn’t need more spin, Britain needs real change – now.
