Downtime

My apologies for the unavailability of this site over the last day or two. There has been a problem with my hosting company’s server hardware – a “catastrophic failure of the embeded network cards” (whatever that means). Everything should be back to normal now – please contact me if you encounter any further problems.

It’ll mean that the network card (the bit that means the computer can talk to the Internet & the WWW) failed catastrophically. Usually means something blew up, melted or failed in some other way that they couldn’t fix.

Built in in this case will be that it was physically built into the server’s motherboard, rather than being an external card they could replace easily.
