I was absolutely appalled to read about the brutal murder of a shop assistant in Brookhouse yesterday evening. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
Brookhouse Wines is no different from dozens of similar small shops across the local area and residents will be rightly concerned at such terrifying armed crime. If you have any information about last night’s appalling murder, please get in touch with the police.
I was around the corner with my fiances house. its worrying because we planned to go to the shop for something to snack on. what happened to max was very upsetting and he will be very much missed. Tradgedy like this makes me think about my life and the what ifs – such as if i went to the shop. Its also scary and weird knowing me were chatting over the counter a week before that laughing and chatting while the shop was quiet. We heard gunshots and then police, we stayed inside. my dad came to drop a package off for me when he tolod me the road was blocked off and the shop was being guarded, i found out max had died less then an hour later. Im still in shock if im honest. Whats worse is it makes me scared to go out when on the estate. Hopefully max will rest in peace, he was a good guy and never deserved that.
