The Friends of Walkden Station Annual General Meeting is being held tonight (Wednesday 3rd March) at Walkden British Legion on Wilfred Road. The meeting starts at 7.30pm and all local residents and rail users are invited to attend.
FOWS have done an absolutely fantastic job and their hard work is now beginning to pay off. The new Sunday service starts in May and this simply would not have happened without the dedication that FOWS volunteers have shown.
They are a fantastic example of a community group and will continue to have my full support. I hope to see you tonight!
