I’m extremely disappointed that the Union bosses are dragging out their members on strike on Wednesday. It’s unhelpful – especially as negotiations go on – and it is going to cause significant damage to a fragile economy and inconvenience millions of workers and businesses up and down the country, including here in Salford.
I thought it would be helpful to repost details of the school closures in Salford on Wednesday. The information is correct as of this afternoon (Monday 28th November):
Ninety schools in Salford will be closed to pupils as a result of national public sector strikes on Wednesday 30 November 2011.
Of the remaining schools, the following will remain open or partially open:
Grosvenor Road Primary School – partially open
Light Oaks Infant School – partially open
St Mary’s CE – partially open
St Mary’s RC Eccles – partially open
St Paul’s CE Crompton Street – fully open
Beis Yaakov – fully open
These schools have still not confirmed whether they will be open or not:
Brentnall
St George’s primary CE
Broughton Jewish Cassel Fox
unconvenience ? where were you privately educated ?
A simple typo – thanks for pointing it out. I was educated at state schools in Salford, for what it is worth.
