Core Strategy: Last Chance To Have Your Say

Following the decision made at the last Council meeting, Salford City Council’s proposed “Core Strategy” planning documentation has now been published. As I’ve pointed out on a number of occasions, the strategy contains some deeply damaging proposals, including the allocation of land at Burgess Farm for housing.

You can find the full document on the Council website.

The Council are now inviting local residents and interested parties to make representations on the document. All of the comments received on the publication core strategy will be submitted to the Secretary of State along with the publication core strategy. An independent inspector will then examine the publication core strategy and determine whether it is sound. This is the last chance residents will get to have their say on this document.

You can submit comments on the online portal, you can e-mail comments to plans.consultation@salford.gov.uk or submit written representations to Core Strategy Consultation, Spatial Planning Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5BY.

The deadline for comments is 4.30pm on Monday 2nd April 2012. As the comments are being compiled and sent to the Secretary of State, late submissions will not be accepted.
